This is the window gasket that was used on many different boats, including Gampian,CS22, CS 27, Tanzer, C&C, some Mirages, Northerns ( Northern 29), Matilda's, and many other boats.

In order to "rebuild" the window you will need a roll of bytle tape (37' on a roll) and the gasket. The buytle tape is used between the frame and the plexi, and the gasket is on the outside of the plexi to hold it in the frame. It is not necessary to remove the frame from the boat. Make sure you order the right one, cut goods can not be returned. Buytle tape # 12500 $14.90/roll.

We can also supply new Plexi cut to size in clear or smoke. Each original window was cut to fit your frame. Pls supply all the windows you want to have made labled for location. (so you will know where it fits) We will duplicate each window to fit as per your sample. This service can usually be done for next day pick-up.

A few newer Grampians, some CS27, some CS33 (not many), many Mirages, some Tanzers, and some other boats used this gasket. This style of gasket does not fit any C&C's. We have in stock #2121 $5.99/ft

Some of the originals were chromed, some were polished bronze. We are suppling machined in natural bronze. They can be supplied in polished bronze, but are much more expesive.

Note that we have made the "hinge" points of the cap much stronger that the original. This was the main failure of the part. Machined for 1" shaft. The Grampian had a 1-1/4" rudder post with the top machined to 1". This part was also used on other boats in this time period that used castings made by Clark Brass.
Made from the original molds from the 50's. Fits Grampian 26-34 with a tiller. If it looks like this this is it. Strap is not machined. It is a rough casting.(most people do not need the strap and we must cast as a set) Strap can be supplied machined at an extra cost.
